“In the end, we will conserve only what we love.
We will love only what we understand.
And we will understand only what we are taught.”

NEGROS ORIENTAL – ZAMBOANGUITA
We partnered with the wonderful youth club, Blue Warriors, who went beyond our expectations with organising a storytelling morning with children based in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental! 💙
Together with Blue Warriors, 27 storybooks of the Ocean Adventures of Cory were donated locally to children living along the coast to help educate and continue spreading coral reef awareness.
Thank you everyone for being so supportive and sharing this advocacy!
PALAWAN – SAN VICENTE
We partnered with a community-based turtle conservation organisation, @alimanguansagippawikan, who organised a wonderful storytelling event with children and their parents in Alimanguan Daycare Center. Thank you to all the donors who made this happen!
Together with Alimanguan Sagip Pawikan, 15 storybooks of the Ocean Adventures of Cory were donated to the local school in Alimanguan so that they can continue spreading coral reef awareness every year to the children in the daycare center!
Coral reefs are also habitats for sea turtles and many more fish, invertebrate and substrate species. Let’s keep on spreading awareness for the linkage of habitats and biodiversity! 🌏
SIARGAO ISLAND – DAPA
The team brought 10 local kids age 11-12 from the local village in Dapa to learn about mangroves. They have never seen mangroves before nor learn about its importance to the environment. We also tried the new underwater drone, which is an in-kind grant from the Wildlife Conservation Society, to show the kids what is below the surface! They were beyond happy and can’t wait to learn about corals too!
Thank you to Ms. Aritas from Union Fisherfolk Association in helping us gathering the kids!!

We are in Iceland!
Thank you to Frida and the Blue Army for spreading the coral reef adventures in Iceland! After a beach clean-up activity, Frida, gave out storybooks to children who were in the clean up as a reward! She also gave copies of the storybooks in an elementary school for more environmental education about the coral reefs in the Philippines!
The storybook is bilingual in Icelandic and English, thanks to Frida for translating it too!
We are in Spotify too.
Thank you to our partner Grounded Radio for producing a wonderful podcast version of our storybook!
If you think this paper book will be best given to local coastal children, click the button and help us reach all corners in the Philippines to share knowledge about coral reefs, and mangroves!
